While Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa continues work on the full version of the Marketplace, Casino Morongo next door will open its bingo hall and poker room on Thursday, March 31.
The two have also partnered up in offering virtual cooking classes for those interested in how the chef prepares his meals. The casino first announced a partnership with cookbook author and former “Top Chef” contestant Fabio Viviani in July 2021. It's just a casual place to gather anytime of day. On one side it's got the casino vibe, the other side has a view of the pool so it's got the pool vibes. The Marketplace will offer six other eateries: Mercato Centrale (Italian), Al Comal (Mexican/South American), Pork & Waffles (BBQ and Southern comfort food), Sukiru (Pan-Asian), Prime Cuts (part steakhouse and part Brazilian Churrascaria) and Sweet Things (desserts). This restaurant is located inside of Casino Morongo in Cabazon. Pescato will be the first of seven eateries to open at The Marketplace, a concept designed to be like a high-end food hall with be freshly-prepared items at each stall. The Marketplace is in the former Potrero Canyon Buffet space and Pescato is at the entrance of the area, which will fully open in the coming weeks. Pescato, a seafood restaurant is the first part of the Marketplace to open and will start serving the public on Saturday, April 2. Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is one restaurant closer to completing the Marketplace by Fabio Viviani.
